As a core country in North Africa's energy transition, Morocco is vigorously promoting its "Energy Strategy 2035," aiming to achieve 52% renewable energy in its national energy mix. This necessitates a large demand for power distribution equipment and electrical components adapted to the high temperatures and dusty environments of the desert. The local electrical supply chain suffers from insufficient capacity and lagging technological iteration. China's mature industrial chain system and customized service capabilities are highly compatible with its needs. A well-known Moroccan EPC engineering company, recommended by the industry, visited our company. Following a second visit in conjunction with relevant agencies of its Ministry of Energy, a cooperation agreement was ultimately reached. Our engineering department optimized the product's sealing and heat dissipation structure based on local power grid standards and environmental characteristics, ensuring long-term stable operation in harsh environments while reducing the client's engineering application costs.

This ambitious goal has driven massive demand for power distribution equipment and electrical components that can adapt to the harsh desert environment—characterized by high temperatures (up to 50°C), intense sandstorms, and long-term exposure to ultraviolet radiation. However, Morocco's local electrical supply chain faces challenges such as insufficient production capacity, outdated technology, and limited customization capabilities, creating a significant market gap that Chinese enterprises are well-positioned to fill.
Our cooperation originated with a well-known Moroccan EPC engineering company, which learned about our strengths in customized electrical solutions through industry associations. The customer's technical team visited our manufacturing base to assess production capacity, quality management, and environmental adaptation technologies. Following a positive evaluation, the company invited relevant institutions from Morocco's Ministry of Energy to conduct a second joint inspection, focusing on product compliance with IEC standards and local grid requirements.
After rigorous testing and negotiation, we formally secured the cooperation project.
In the design and optimization phase, the Moroccan EPC company provided detailed technical parameters based on its renewable energy projects (including the Noor Solar Power Complex, one of the world's largest solar parks). Our engineering team targeted the key environmental challenges: upgrading the circuit breaker's shell material to high-temperature resistant ABS plastic with a special anti-static coating to prevent sand accumulation; enhancing the energy meter's internal cooling system with heat-dissipating aluminum alloy casings to ensure accurate measurement under extreme heat; and improving the transformer's sealing structure with double-layer silicone gaskets to resist sand and dust intrusion. These optimizations not only extended the product's service life in desert conditions to over 10 years but also reduced the customer's maintenance costs by 20%.
The supply package included molded case circuit breakers, three-phase energy meters, current transformers, and low-voltage fuses, all certified by Morocco's ONEE (National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water). As a reliable partner with extensive experience in North African markets, we delivered a total of 550,000 units from 2022 to 2024, supporting multiple renewable energy and grid modernization projects across Morocco.
This cooperation highlights the synergy between China's industrial strength and Morocco's development needs. It not only contributes to Morocco's energy transition goals but also showcases our ability to provide tailored solutions for regional-specific challenges. We will continue to deepen our presence in the North African market, supporting more countries in the region to achieve clean energy development and infrastructure upgrading.
